Bee Propolis

Bees produce a sticky brown resinous substance known as Propolis. Bee Propolis is gathered by bees from the leaf buds or tree bark. So far, 17 chemical substances in propolis have been described, some of which are: cinnamic acid, vanillin and an aromatic unsaturated acid characterized by antibacterial effects on certain gram-positive and gram-negative micro organisms. Propolis resin is by nature antiseptic, antifungal and anti-bacterial. Propolis is furthermore non-acqueous.
You can simply sprinkle propolis on your food to get the health benefits it offers. Flavoinoids detectable and tested are Quercetin, Galangin, Pinocembrin, Chrysin. Propolis also contains bioflavonoids, essential oils, tree resin and waxes. Bioflavoids are one of the most important components in Propolis and have antioxidant effects.
